Summary: | Lithium ferrite, LiFe5O8 powder has been prepared by sol gel method. Lithium acetate and iron nitrate are mixed together in the ethanol solution. The mixture is then slow heated to obtain the precursor. The precursor materials are sent for characterization using Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer (TGA), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Then the high energy ball milling method was applied to obtain the nano sized lithium ferrite. © 2010 American Institute of Physics. |
