The Islamic concepts of halal and haram have influenced Muslim followers from their personal life to food consumption, business operations, and travelling. This chapter discusses the practices of a Shariah-Compliant Hotel (SCH), the De Palma Hotel, Malaysia. Islamic tourism is a new trend in the tourism industry, and it is inevitable that industry players develop and enhance their halal tourism products and services to fulfill this growing market. Muslim travellers are concerned with Shariah-compliance attributes offered by the hospitality industry and their implementation is important following guidance in the Quran and Hadith. Data collection has been performed through an interview session with the hotel management and observation of the operation. Islamic tourism can be seen as the effort to cater for the needs of Muslim travellers in offering goods and services that conform to their faith. This hotel is making plans to further improve its service level and infrastructure to strengthen its capabilities in dignifying Islamic values in the hotel industry in line with its motto “To enhance Shariah Islamic Compliance”. © 2020 selection and editorial matter, C.
