الملخص: | This paper will discuss explicitly on the concept named ‘Construction safety factor in design’ and the development of a proposed model called Construction Accident—Safety factor in Design (CASfiD). The model was preliminary tested for its reliability using 35 accident investigation reports from the Department of Safety and Health, Malaysia. CASfiD has shown to greatly improve the identification of root causes of construction accidents related to safety design. CASfiD is not merely an accident investigation tool to help identify construction accidents related to safety design but is a potential source of information required in intervention construction safety in Malaysia. © 2010 Taylor and Francis Group, London, UK. |
