Framing grounded theory method (GTM) in blended learning adoption patterns: A research framework

Blended learning adoptions at local universities are unclear and misrepresented. As this is a new phenomenon, there are limitations and constraints on theoretical sampling to support the phenomenon. Thus, the grounded theory approach is being suggested to support the formulation of the theoretical f...

Blended learning adoptions at local universities are unclear and misrepresented. As this is a new phenomenon, there are limitations and constraints on theoretical sampling to support the phenomenon. Thus, the grounded theory approach is being suggested to support the formulation of the theoretical framework of understanding the phenomenon. The main objective of this research is to propose a research framework for framing Grounded Theory Method (GT) in blended learning adoption patterns. The Grounded Theory Method (GTM) is presented as a method having both phenomenological and positivistic roots. A social constructionist version and application of grounded theory will be used. The contribution of the study is the proposed research framework for understanding blended learning adoption. © 2016 American Scientific Publishers. All rights reserved.
