Summary: | Infrastructure projects play a vital role in promoting social, environmental, and economic progress, especially in developing countries. The recent emergence of sustainable practices in construction, coupled with the absence of practical evaluation indicators, has made it difficult to assess project performance effectively. This study focusses on the necessity for strong evaluation tools to measure the sustainability and resilience of these projects. This study advanced a thorough performance assessment tool through factor analysis and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM), incorporating 29 essential indicators across environmental (13), social (10), and resilience (6) dimensions. The findings reveal that three out of the four constructs accounted for 45% of the variance in project success due to environmental indicators, while social factors contributed 32% and resilience factors accounted for 23%. The analysis using PLS-SEM demonstrated that resilient performance indicators have a significant positive impact on project outcomes, evidenced by path coefficients of 0.413. The findings validate the reliability and validity of the PLS-SEM model, showcasing strong measurement and structural models. The insights gained play a significant role in advancing the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals, offering a structured approach to enhance sustainable infrastructure practices. |
