This profession has been regulated in Malaysia since 1981. It has grown and changed over the years, bringing with it a host of problems and difficulties; hence the way people interact and do business, the fierce competition and technological advancement present additional obstacles. This essay compares the agency practices in Malaysia with Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and Hong Kong. A desktop study was used. The findings reveal commonalities in the ways that regulatory organisations, registration, and sanctions are implemented.
