Generation of Q-switched from a neodymium-doped fiber laser incorporated erbium oxide as a saturable absorber

This work demonstrates the generation of a Q-switched laser in a neodymium-doped fiber laser (NDFL) cavity incorporated erbium oxide as a saturable absorber. NDFL pumped with 808 nm laser diode generated Q-switched pulses at the operating wavelength of 1088 nm without any filter due to a strong Nd3+...
