Description
Summary:The influence of Core Stability Exercise (CSE) on functional performance in adults with Chronic Low Back Pain (CLBP) is a debated topic. This study aimed to explore CSE effects on functional performance in this demographic. English-language studies until October 2023 were systematically gathered from Web of Science, Scopus, and PubMed, with PEDro scoring and adherence to PRISMA guidelines. Notably, CSE showed superiority over passive therapy in enhancing proprioception, as supported by one study. In conclusion, while CSE demonstrates proficiency in improving proprioception, its effects on aspects like pain, balance, motor control, functionality, metabolic capacity, and postural sway in CLBP vary.
