Tailoring localised surface plasmon resonance of added Ag nanoparticles Er3+ ion doped glass system by coupling polarisation approach

The coupling polarisation PEr3+:NP of LSPR was investigated using the 20Li(2)O(-x)Bi(2)O(3)-(78-x)TeO2-1Er(2)O(3)-1Ag glass system with electrical polarisability of spherical particle chi and Clausius-Mosotti relation polarisability alpha L approximations. Description
Summary:The coupling polarisation PEr3+:NP of LSPR was investigated using the 20Li(2)O(-x)Bi(2)O(3)-(78-x)TeO2-1Er(2)O(3)-1Ag glass system with electrical polarisability of spherical particle chi and Clausius-Mosotti relation polarisability alpha L approximations. The maximum coupling polarisation PEr3+:NP is suggested at x = 5 mol% implied from high chi and alpha L at that region hence can contribute to maximum LSPR before an opposite pattern between both chi and alpha(L) is observed at x = 11 mol%. The opposite pattern at x = 11 mol% is elucidated by determining the difference in contribution of electronic polarisability alpha e to alpha L and molar cation polarisability alpha(m) with oxide ion polarisability ao(2-) to chi respectively.
