Computer interactive games are widely used in education as a teaching aid at primary and secondary school levels. However, this method has not been practiced widely in universities. The use of computer interactive games has the potential to be one of the techniques to improve the teaching and learning in university environment. This research focused on mathematical problem solving in integration by substitution. Most students are unable to identify the correct substitution in solving integral questions. Hence, we have developed math games integrated with the computer application to overcome this problem. Our research is conducted in UiTM Johor Branch, Pasir Gudang Campus. Data are collected from 60 engineering students, as the experimental group, who were using interactive game. Questionnaires were distributed to students after the game was given and been analyzed. Another 60 engineering students were taught using traditional method used as control group. The statistical method used were statistical procedures and t-test analysis. The finding demonstrated that most of the students agree in using computer as a part of interactive teaching method. © 2018 Author(s).
