An investigation found metadata classification developed and used in the system is less meaningful as users are not interested in using it for information seeking. Instead, they developed their own trend in searching for and retrieving information and records. The main contributing factor is lack of training as users perceived it is not useful for them with IT background. Organization must provide relevant training to employees. Policies and guidelines must be established and the enforcement both is crucial in ensuring efficient information seeking behavior is practiced in the organization. © 2015 American Scientific Publishers.
