總結:The increasing complexity of modern electric motor systems necessitates the development of advanced modeling and simulation techniques, which this research utilizes to investigate and compare the performance of three-phase and six-phase induction motors. Induction motors are a crucial component of many industrial applications, with three-phase motors being the standard choice. However, the demand for high-power and high-efficiency applications has sparked interest in alternative configurations like six-phase induction motors, which offer their superior stability and fault tolerance. The study focuses on modeling both motor types and analyzing their current, torque, and speed characteristics under load condition. Method for modeling three-phase motors can be adapted for six-phase motors by incorporating additional parameters based on vector space decomposition (VSD) model for six-phase machine. The simulations were created as educational tools for machine and drive courses, utilizing MATLAB to provide practical insights into motor performance and modeling techniques. ©2024 IEEE.
