Summary: | This paper introduces an innovative intelligent charging control system designed specifically for electric bicycles (e-bikes) utilizing Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology. The system features transmitter and receiver coils integrated into the front tires of the e-bike and within the charging station, enabling efficient wireless charging. The core of the system is an Arduino Nano microcontroller integrated with key components such as a voltage divider circuit, an infrared sensor for e-bike detection, an HC-12 module for communication, and a solid-state relay for power supply control. The proposed system ensures both safety and efficiency in wireless charging by continuously monitoring battery voltage, initiating charging processes as necessary, and automatically discontinuing charging once the battery reaches an optimum level of 48 volts. Selected results from experimental tests are presented to verify the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed system. This intelligent system promotes responsible charging practices and enhances user convenience, contributing significantly to the advancement of a greener and more sustainable electric mobility ecosystem. © 2024 IEEE.
