This study examines SRI Sukuk and bond literature using scholarly literature and bibliometric analysis. VOS Viewer software is used for analysis. A total of 381 publications on SRI Sukuk and bond frontier were found in the Scopus database from 2016 to 2023. More articles on SRI frontier indicate increased interest. The use of terms like “green bond,” “sustainable development,” and “climate finance” shows a growing trend towards integrating SRI principles with environmentally responsible investment practices. Yet, insufficient research on SRI sukuk hinders future studies. This analysis highlights untapped knowledge in the SRI field and suggests future research directions. The findings reveal yearly publication and citation trends, emerging research areas, and the most influential publication. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
