總結:Current hip implant materials are substantially more rigid, which can result in a phenomenon known as stress shielding. The mismatch between the stiffness of the hip implant and the surrounding bone might cause the implant to be overloaded, resulting in bone resorption, bone fracture, and revision surgery. Consequently, porous lattice structures in hip implants are employed to address the aforementioned issues. This article discusses the most recent hip implant lattice design trends. The analysis of lattice structures using finite element analysis (FEA) is also included in the review. In conclusion, lattice structure design is a promising method that can reduce stress shielding, reduce weight, and improve osseointegration. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
