Summary: | In modern times, automation has changed daily routines, especially in managing electrical energy consumption. This research introduces the "Automatic Power Office Room"project, which aims to automate lighting systems in offices using Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensors and Arduino Uno. The project tackles energy wastage due to human negligence by automatically controlling lights based on occupancy to optimize energy usage. The design integrates LDR sensors (LDR 1 and LDR 2) at the door frame to detect individuals, with the Arduino Uno microcontroller processing sensor data and controlling the lighting system. Operation samples demonstrate effective light management, turning lights on upon entry and off upon exit. Key instruments include LDR sensors, Arduino Uno, relay modules, and a power supply system. This project offers a practical solution to improve energy efficiency in offices, suggesting future scalability and considering parameters and variables such as sensor detection (LDR 1 and LDR 2), Arduino programming, and energy consumption optimization. © 2024 IEEE.
