Gaining a better grasp of small and medium-sized businesses’ chances in online commerce can be achieved by investigating the possible effects of e-commerce on their expansion. Journal articles from the years 1997 to 2023 were collected for this study's analysis. The review approach is divided into three independent steps: choosing journals, creating key categories and an analysis framework, and choosing papers. The results demonstrate that adoption of e-commerceAdoption of e-commerce is positively impacted by perceived compatibility and difficulty. But under regular conditions, the open innovation paradigm is workable. The adoption of e-commerce is minimally affected through the sharing of expertise and management philosophy. These findings will help researchers and SME managers in the Asia Pacific region deal with the COVID-19 pandemic's issues and hire more skilled workers.
