Description
Summary:Shoppers can get various necessities at the mall or market. Bulk purchases or many products require the help of a trolley where the buyer is easy to move from one corner to another in the supermarket. After purchasing, the customer will push the cart to the payment counter. At the checkout counter, they have to wait to get their products scanned using RFID readers with the help of Barcode Scanners and get their bills. More tiring when shoppers have to queue long when it is during peak hours like the festive season. This problem can be addressed by using Shopping-Dash Trolley System. This project aims to develop a smart scanner system on the shopping trolley. The trolley will be equipped with an RFID reader, LCD display and NodeMCU microcontroller (ESP8266). When a customer wants to buy a product, it will be scanned first and the LCD display will display product information and prices. Subsequent product additions will be totaled to make it easier for buyers to see their budget. This amount will be stored in a NodeMCU microcontroller that acts as a memory. This is all done on the transmitter side. On the receiver side, it is a wireless transmission process. It is used to share product information and the final billing amount of the item placed in the cart will be transferred using IoT Blynk to the billing system. Bills or receipts will be generated automatically in the customer's smart device. This will save customers time at the payment counter later as well as buyers can examine the budget of the total price of the goods. © 2024 IEEE.
