Summary:In this work, state of polarization (SOP) of 1565 nm signal light is modulated by Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 coated Side Polished Fiber (SPF). The rotation of SOP is attributed to thermo-optic characteristics of Cr3C2. A total of azimuth rotation 50.61° is achieved and the recorded modulation efficiency is 0.43°/mW, when pump power is increased. © 2024 IEEE.
