This study aims to analyse the risk factors related to vegetable wholesalers' opportunistic behaviours influencing relationship termination amongst business partners in a leafy vegetable supply chain. Three key variables were explored, which were the opportunistic behaviours, impact of opportunistic behaviours, and relationship termination. The quantitative research method was employed. The sample was selected from vegetable farmers of the top five most cultivated leafy vegetables in the Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi provinces, Thailand which was 146 vegetable farmers. A questionnaire survey was conducted for data collection. The data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicated that the opportunistic behaviours of vegetable wholesalers directly and indirectly influence the relationship termination of business partners. In addition, opportunistic behaviours of vegetable wholesalers directly influence the impact of opportunistic behaviours of vegetable wholesalers and the impact of the opportunistic behaviours of vegetable wholesalers directly affects the relationship termination of business partners. © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
