It employs the Zachman Framework to develop an Enterprise Architecture (EA) solution tailored for academic management within a higher education institution. The proposed ‘To-Be’ solution advocates for the establishment of a centralised and automated system for recruitment and retention, the integration of a dedicated collaboration platform, and the automation of administrative processes through an integrated HR management system. The paper underscores the significance of data integration and centralisation, technology infrastructure upgrades, and implementing change management strategies. The primary objective of this paper is to furnish a comprehensive roadmap for implementing the EA solution, leveraging the Zachman Framework to align academic management with the institution's strategic goals. Through the adoption of this solution, the institution aspires to augment efficiency, foster collaboration, and streamline administrative processes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
