Summary: | This paper delves into a comprehensive examination of the Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system, specifically exploring the impact of varying coil distances on its performance. The positioning of coils within the WPT framework plays a pivotal role in influencing key parameters such as efficiency, resonant frequency, and bandwidth. Our study seeks to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on WPT by designing and implementing an experimental test rig for a WPT circuit configuration. Building upon extensive preliminary research, we conducted experiments rooted in the fundamentals of resonant WPT, incorporating essential components such as an inverter, coils, and rectifier. The findings reveal a discernible correlation between coil distance and WPT performance, with an observed decrease in efficiency as the distance between coils increases. This observation underscores the substantial impact that variations in coil distance can exert on the overall efficacy of WPT systems. Through meticulous experimentation and analysis, our study sheds light on crucial insights that can inform the optimization and design of WPT technologies, ultimately advancing the field's understanding and application. © 2024 IEEE.
