Description
Summary:Sustainable entrepreneurship positively impacts the 2030 United Nations (UN) Agenda and Goal 5. The chapter aims to discover mumpreneurs' entrepreneurial challenges and enablers. Mumpreneurs are the key to economic growth, and without attention to the gender dimension in economic development, Malaysia is unlikely to achieve its growth targets. This chapter employed a qualitative research approach under the interpretive research paradigm. Using purposive sampling, 20 mumpreneurs were selected as key informants. The chapter found various entrepreneurial challenges, including lack of financial assistance, poor business location, poor customer management, weak marketing strategy, product delivery issues, poor management, and shift competition. The enablers identified are capital and aid, motivation, business skills, innovation, network, technology absorption, and business support. This chapter contributes to the literature on entrepreneurship in general and specifically to the literature on female entrepreneurs from the perspective of developing country economies. © 2024, IGI Global.
