Summary: | This study introduces an Internet of Things (IoT)connected motion sensor-based crop protection system to assist farmers in safeguarding their crops against wildlife, particularly monkeys. In contrast to traditional techniques, this approach allows for real-time monitoring to quickly identify intrusions. Two motion sensors detect any movement in the fields and communicate with a NodeMCU ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. The NodeMCU turns on a camera for visual confirmation and triggers a 12V AC alarm to protect against attackers when it detects activity. By using the Blynk platform, farmers can take prompt action to safeguard crops and minimize damage, increasing yields. Farmers receive fast notifications on their devices and help fix the problems mentioned. © 2024 IEEE. |
