Description
Summary:Suitable implant materials and surgery time are some of the factors that surgeons must consider prior to surgery. With the development of current technology, applying a patient's specific implant in craniofacial reconstruction may reduce the surgery time. However, not all alloplast implants are suitable for 3D printing. This chapter covers the utilisation of selected polymeric biomaterials such as alloplastic material that are suitable for 3D printing with affordable 3D printers due to its sustainability, eco-friendly and excellent processability. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.
