Description
Summary:This paper details the creation of an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Global Positioning System (GPS) to swiftly identify the closest hospital in urgent situations. The Blynk application serves as the IoT platform in this project. In the event of a road traffic accident, the ambulance response time is critical. Paramedics gain access to vital hospital data, including specialist availability, during emergencies. Hospitals receive notifications and patient vital sign information before the patient reaches the facility. By leveraging IoT, the GPS system tracks the nearest hospital, ensuring the collection of necessary hospital data. This real-time information is accessible via internet connectivity from the ambulance, alerting the nearest hospital. Such a system is poised to reduce mortality rates and enhance emergency operation services. © 2024 IEEE.
