Summary: | Microgrid is a small power generation and distribution system that organically integrates distributed power sources, loads, energy storage devices, AC converters, and monitoring and protection devices. As a result, large-scale renewable energy grid integration has brought many challenges to traditional power grids, mainly reflected in: loss of inertia and damping, changes in short-circuit characteristics, triggering harmonic resonance and subsynchronous oscillation, etc. In this paper, the VSG (Virtual Synchronous Generator) inertia and damping adaptive coordinated control algorithm based on Fuzzy clustering is designed in the microgrid. Research has shown that the inertia parameters are directly related to the oscillation frequency of the dynamic response, and there is no excitation inrush current in the distribution transformer during the startup process. This indicates that VSG has the pre magnetization function of boosting the distribution transformer from zero. However, due to the influence of the transformer manufacturing process, the harmonic content of the excitation current in the experiment is relatively high, further verifying the effectiveness of the algorithm in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.
