Description
Summary:The 1U ASEANSAT Nanosatellite Mission is a demonstration of how lean satellite applications are used for research and development, and it is a tribute to the developments in satellite technology. This paper provides a thorough analysis of the planning and execution of the ASEANSAT Nanosatellite Mission, including crucial elements such as the mission statement, goals, specifications, architecture, and operational concept. The main objective of the ASEANSAT project is to show how simplified satellite technology may be used in real-world applications for research and development. Similar components are included in the ASEANSAT 1U Nanosatellite, which is based on the previous BIRDS CubeSats. The Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS), On-Board Computer (OBC), Communication (COM), and Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem (ADCS) are all included in the ASEANSAT CubeSat design. This nanosatellite mission is designed to execute a store-And-forward communication mission and carry out camera mission. Particularly considering the technological, scientific, and operational capabilities of the nanosatellite platform, specific mission requirements and constraints are taken into consideration. © 2023 IEEE.
