An ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna based on a coplanar waveguide transmission line designed with a rectangular slot is presented for ambient RF energy harvesting. The proposed antenna as a harvester antenna covers the ISM Wi-Fi bands of 2.45 GHz and 5 GHz over a relatively wide frequency range from 2.1 GHz to 6.3 GHz with an operating bandwidth of 4.2 GHz. Both frequencies achieve less than 10 dB reflection coefficient characteristics of about -13 dB with a gain of 3.653 dBi and 4.635 dBi at 2.45 GHz and 5 GHz, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.
