Summary: | The research presents a real-Time monitoring system for aquaculture that uses Intel® Edison as a microcontroller to interface with cloud storage. The aim of this project is to design and develop a system that monitors the rate of nutrition contained in the commercial freshwater fishpond. The project is divided into the following scopes: A) interface connection between Intel® Edison with IBM cloud and b) develop a way for the end user to get the information that is in the database. Sensors were used as the input that provides data to the microcontroller from the measurement of the fishpond. All controls are centralized using the Intel® Edison as a microcontroller and the data are obtained from the temperature, dissolved oxygen, and pH sensors. Then the data was stored in the cloud storage and user-Accessible using their personal computer and mobile phone. The user could monitor the data anywhere if there is an Internet connection on their mobile phone. Therefore, the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the fish farms industry will counter the problem that occurs nowadays. © 2023 IEEE.
