It is becoming increasingly common practise for teachers in today's educational system to make use of open educational resources in the classroom. This trend has been helped along by the expansion of open modes of study available through distance education. The role of a teacher has shifted from that of a knowledge gatekeeper to that of a learning facilitator as a direct result of the ease with which comparable materials can be accessed. How does the fact that a student has casual access to the same materials that are being used to teach them in class affect the student's perceptions when the material is presented to them in the classroom? This is the question that directs the direction of our investigation. How do they feel about the material's effectiveness, value for the money, and whether or not they believe it to be credible? This research was conducted with the intention of investigating the various ways in which open education videos could be utilised in the classroom as well as the various ways in which they could be added to a relevant space within a virtual learning environment. In addition to that, as part of this study, investigations were conducted into the issues of a practical, technical, and pedagogical nature that arise when these resources are incorporated into in-person and online course materials. These issues can arise for a number of reasons. In addition to this, it investigated the perspectives of students regarding the utilisation of these resources both in the classroom and online. © 2023 IEEE.
