Description
Summary:Conjugate Gradient (CG) is the iterative method that is most prominent for solving systems of linear equations. This study aims to establish a practical single-source reference regarding CG and image processing. Utilizing the bibliometric approach in this study helps in identifying and evaluating the data in the 1974 CG and image processing-related materials. The data was extracted from a Scopus database and processed in Microsoft Excel. The VOSviewer program aids in displaying the data, while the Harzing Publish or Perish program aids in combining the data. The findings reveal that CG research began as early as 1977. Based on the statistics, the Measurement Science and Technology journal published the most publications on CG and image processing. However, there is limited research in this sector as proven by the top 20 cited publications list. Because this paper is limited to articles published in the Scopus database, the representativeness of 'conjugate gradient and image' research is deemed moderate. This bibliometric study could be utilized to supplement meta-analysis and organized literature reviews. © 2023 IEEE.
