Description
Summary:Transmission of Covid-19 the virus had brought massive efforts regarding the delay and stopping of the process of virus transmission. Disinfection is one of the techniques to stop disease transmission among people. Ultraviolet disinfection is one of the solutions for stopping and delaying the virus transmission process through bio-contaminated air and surfaces. Therefore, this paper presents to develop a UV sanitization robot with multifunction uses and low costs based on Wireless Sensor Technologies. This UV robot model design is controlled by a microcontroller and interfaced with mobile apps such as Blynk. This UV disinfection robot's designed function is to disinfect the surrounding. Additional features had been added to this robot design such as monitoring the process of disinfection, obstacle detection, and human detection. This robot was designed combination with Arduino Uno, a 15W UV lamp, ultrasonic sensors, PIR sensor, and EP32 Cam for disinfection and multitasking functions. Designing autonomous UV disinfection robots had been simulated and observed to test whether the UV robot model design can detect the obstacle and humans. The process of testing this UV robot model through simulation and hardware had been achieved. This robot can detect obstacles 15cm away and detect human presence. © 2023 IEEE.
