Summary:Youth are supposedly the most vulnerable age category in digital competency during the pandemic. Youth and digital technology are inextricably linked variables and the internet have become an essential element of youth. The goal of this study is to discover young people's digital literacy abilities and their ability to capitalize on internet possibilities following the pandemic emergency. This research examines disparities depending on gender in further detail. The research analysis techniques are descriptive analysis and T-test analysis. The data analysis technique for this research is descriptive analysis and T-test analysis. A cross-sectional survey was used for online data collection (N=247). The result showed that there are inequalities regarding social media account ownership, particularly female respondents owning greater social media accounts than male respondents. According to the research results, male and female respondents had different digital literacy skills in the Software Security and Communication Skill dimensions. There are disparities in the utilization of online opportunities between male and female respondents. This study contributes to the ability to improve digital literacy skills, especially by boosting fundamental device security capabilities. It is intended that the usage of online opportunities would provide a focus on utilization connected to the learning process based on gender. © 2023 IEEE.
