This chapter aims to explore the drug (medication)-safety related issues in Malaysia, highlighting present practices and reporting challenges and offering recommendations to overcome the challenges. Malaysia has adequate laws and regulations to monitor and manage drug safety issues. However, there are many challenges facing drug safety in Malaysia. There is an urgent need to improve practices, strengthen medication safety research, and engage health care professionals and patients in medication safety initiatives. © 2020 Elsevier Inc.
