Compatibility, locatability, system reliability, and authority to ac-cess information are predictors of mandatory usage, according to Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) results based on a survey of 357 respondents. Similarly, requiring managers to use technology impacts their performance, as does the goal of not using technology. Finally, managerial performance is a pre-dictor of technological withdrawal. This study is likely the first study to examine the indirect effect of technology withdrawal intention on technology withdrawal. It is now apparent how the Malaysian marine industry can better prepare for future technology investment and adoption. © SEECMAR | All rights reserved.
