Description
Summary:Preliminary assessment of geomagnetic Local Horizontal component, H was performed during solar quiet day at recent solar cycle minimum-24 (2018-2019) obtained by Magnetic Data Acquisition System (MAGDAS) located at Langkawi, Malaysia (99.68 E, 6.30N Geomagnetic Coordinate). Seasonal averages of diurnal H geomagnetic field variation MSq(H) were calculated and used to outline and characterize their geomagnetic H seasonal variabilities. The initial analysis on Earth current system comprises of magnetic current, DL during quiet day for each season shows that there is no significant variation of DL compared to ionospheric current, DP suggesting that low geomagnetic perturbation happened on that duration. These preliminary finding and information might be used for diurnal geomagnetic field modeling in Malaysia during solar minimum. © 2021 IEEE.
