Summary:Shore power cable is an important power equipment for ship-shore interactive transmission. The insulation aging speed of shore power cable is faster than that of ordinary cable, and the application life of the shore power cable is relatively short. Therefore, this paper is based on multi physical field coupling on the shore power cable under special conditions incorporating all environment impact, to analyze the impact of solar radiation on the temperature distribution of multi-loop shore power cable, and to propose a novel technique to calculate realtime ampacity of shore power cable based on the heat balanced equation, so a novel model to identify the performance of power cable on the offshore network by considering dynamic environmental impact is established. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
