Description
Summary:This paper presents the design of an H-shape defected ground structure (DGS). Full EM-wave simulation of the design was carried out by using the Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software. The influence of some DGS design parameters on the resonant frequency was simulated and studied. The designed DGS was fabricated on FR4 and its performance was measured. The measurement results show that the designed H-shape DGS well exhibits a bandstop characteristic. At 280 MHz, the insertion loss, S11 of the structure is -1.64dB, and the forward transmission, S21 is -15.33dB. © 2020 IEEE.
