Description
Summary:Learning styles studies have been discussed widely in academic field. It can be considered as a factor that contributes to the achievement of the students in their learning because everyone has a unique learning style when learning. In this paper, we aimed to examine the association of learning styles and attitude towards academic achievement. By identifying the student's learning styles preference, it will offer benefits to the student and instructor by improving learning achievement. Sample data were collected among 328 pre-university science and engineering students using cross-sectional survey. Attitudes Towards Mathematics Inventory (ATMI) and Index of Learning Style© (ILS) were used as the instruments to collect data from the respondents. Data were analysed using Stata statistical tool to examine the result. Result showed that there was no association of learning styles and attitude towards academic achievement in this study. © 2020 ASTES Publishers. All rights reserved.
