Description
Summary:In Forward Scatter Radar, ground clutter is the main issues that can affect the performance of the target detection. This paper presents work on statistical clutter analysis for VHF/UHF frequencies in order to investigate the effect of wind on clutter for Forward Scatter Radar. Experimental and statistical analysis have been carried out which includes the effect of the wind speeds for different frequencies and for different clutter strengths. The clutter characteristics are then discussed. The result from this research can be used as a based to develop a synthetic environment for the analysis of Forward Scattering Radar Network performance in a complex environment. © 2018 IEEE.
