Description
Summary:Monitoring teaching activities are important to improve the learners' performance and teaching delivery. There are extensive researches on teaching quality control and development of assistive tools for teaching monitoring; however, none of them focuses on monitoring the execution of assessment. This paper describes the model of assessment execution monitoring, its implementation, and outcomes of the implementation. The model encompasses four parts; reminding, assessment report analysis, submission status reporting, and remedial action status checking. The assessment report analysis was carried out manually for the first three semesters and then transformed to automatic way when TReS, an online web-based system was developed. The percentage of academic staff submitted test 1 mark increased drastically when the model was implemented with the use of TReS. © 2017 IEEE.
