Compact meandered shorted-stub K-band filter using 0.18-μm CMOS process

A compact shorted-stub on-chip filter is presented in this paper. All the stubs and line sections of the 3rd order filter were meandered in order to miniaturize the overall size of the filter. Description
Summary:A compact shorted-stub on-chip filter is presented in this paper. All the stubs and line sections of the 3rd order filter were meandered in order to miniaturize the overall size of the filter. Realized using microstrip lines on the top-layer of a 0.18 um CMOS, the overall filter circuit covers a surface area of 1.288 mm by 0.992 mm. The center frequency of the filter is 25 GHz, with an insertion loss of 10 dB at 48 % bandwidth. The layout, simulation results and measurement results are shown in the paper. © 2017 IEEE.
