In 2012, the revised version of MNSC 20 was published. Significant changes were identified in the revised version of MNSC 20, especially in the implementation of disaster management process cycle (Prevention, preparedness, response and recovery). It is the objective of this paper to address the evolution of the MNSC 20 which at the end assists reader in understanding the policy of disaster management in Malaysia and at the same time providing a push for related government agencies in supporting the MNSC 20. Using content validity and face validity method, sixteen significant changes of MNSC 20 are identified and elaborated. The urgency of this study will impact the relevant agencies involved in disaster management to further understand and support the MNSC 20 with proper strategic disaster management documentation. © 2016 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
