Description
Summary:Litsea graciae is used by local communities as an antidote against snake, centipede and scorpion bite. It is also used to treat muscular pains, sprained ankles and knees, skin disease and blood in stools. The methanolic crude samples of leaves, barks and fruits were tested for cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory. Cytotoxicity against Cervical Cancer (HeLa), Human Breast Cancer (MCF-7) and Human colorectal Cancer (HT-29) cell lines were using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2- yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay and the anti-inflammatory evaluations were conducted based on Lipoxygenase assay, Hyaluronidase assay and Xanthine oxidase assay. © 2012 IEEE.
