Summary:The study is critically investigates the relationship between human resource management and knowledge-based economy in Malaysian Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) companies status. Also, it discusses the obvious differentiation between human resource management and knowledge management. Based on semi-structured interviews, this study provides evidences for the changing roles required for human resource management in managing knowledge workers In short, this study is perhaps one of the first to investigate the influence of human resource management in the knowledge based economy in MSC companies' status in Malaysia.
