Data acqusition, storage and online retrieval of chromatography from automated HPLC for pharmaceutical research applications

This paper presents AMCOS (Automated Acquisition Chromatography System) and CONSYS, (Chromatogram Online System) a system to retrieve chromatography data in XML and XLS format. AMOCS and CONSYS are an alternative type of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Both systems were developed as...

Both systems were developed as a data interchange system with the advantage of overcoming the proprietary format and sharing problem. Commercially available proprietary software of LIMS allow user to only save the measurement data into files of their formats; and it is not readable and shared the chromatogram in other formats. AMCOS allows user to acquire the data of HPLC and store the measured data into the centralized database of CONSYS, which is a open source webbased system. CONSYS allows users to retrieve data without using proprietary software and producing both XML and XLS file formats, thus, can be viewed and shared by other CONSYS users. Data acquired are analyzed to determine the appropriate setting for sampling. The measured data are compared in order to justify based on reliability and trustworthy of the system. ©2010 IEEE.
