Description
Summary:The implementation of Outcome Based Education (OBE) on non-examinable courses such as case study or mini project, has eliminated the conventional ways of assessment at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA. In order to facilitate the assessment process, an evaluation system has been developed to assist the lecturer. This dynamic system consists of several evaluation criteria for the students' raw marks. The outputs are in terms of indicator plots representing the course and programme outcomes achievement scores. Hence, a continual quality improvement procedure can be carried out and implemented at the end of the process cycle. The usage of this system for students' project work in the last academic term at this faculty has clearly shown some necessary actions needed to be taken in order to improve the performance outcomes. © 2008 IEEE.
