Summary: | The Radial Line Slot Array (RLSA) Antenna is known for its good characteristics such as low profile, low cost, aesthetically pleasing, ease of installation and simple structure. This research involves the design and development of a novel linearly polarized Beam Squinted Radial Line Slot Array (RLSA) Antenna for IEEE 802.11a WLAN application operating on UNII frequency band standard, with frequency range of 5.72-5.875 GHz. The major part of this project includes the antenna prototype development processes. Measurements were done obtaining minimum return loss at 11 dB, antenna gain of 26 dB and a 12% antenna bandwidth with 63% radiation efficiency. © 2007 IEEE. |
