Aziz
In ancient Levantine mythology, Azizos is a god of the morning star of Aramaic and Arab origin from Palmyra. The Arabian goddess Al-Uzza, related to the planet Venus, is named from the same root. ''Al-ʿAzīz'' is one of the names of God in Islam. ''ʿAzīz'' without ''al-'' is used as a royal title borne by the high nobles of Ancient Egypt.
It is used in existing Semitic languages (Arabic, Hebrew, neo-Aramaic, Mandaic, Maltese) and has also spread to non-Semitic language families like Berber languages, Caucasus languages, Iranian languages, and Turkic languages. ''Aziz'' is a common masculine given name, especially in the Muslim world, but it has also continued to be used by non-Muslim peoples in the Middle East, like Jews, Assyrians, Armenians, etc. Provided by Wikipedia
